Many of our dogs come in through the stray system but many others come to us when their owners die, become ill, or go into sheltered accommodation or purely and simply can no longer be bothered to look after their pets.
All the dogs have one thing in common – they are desperate for another chance in life.
All our dogs are neutered, fully vaccinated and ID chipped. We have a set price for our crossbreeds and the cost of pedigrees varies according to age and breed.
The majority of our dogs are crossbreeds but we do have pedigrees available at times.
Anyone wishing to adopt one of our dogs will be required to fill in a form and will be
veterinary checked and/or have a home visit. Only upon a favourable check can the chosen dog be reserved. The dog to be collected at a time agreeable to both parties.
We regard all our animals to be a responsibility for life! However should you have problems with your adopted dog we are always on hand for help and advice.
Should your circumstances change and you are no longer able to keep your dog we insist that it be returned to us as we feel once we have taken responsibility for an animal it remains so for the rest of its life.
We have cats for adoption of varying ages at the centre. In the kitten season we are inundated with little ones.
We have a set price for our cats and the cost of pedigrees varies according to age and breed. The cost includes neutering (including kittens at 6 months) ID chipping, worming, fleaing and first vaccinations.

Once in their new homes adult cats are expected to be kept inside for a minimum of six weeks. Kittens should be kept indoors until they are old enough to be neutered.

Most of our Small Animals come to us simply because they are unwanted.
We have rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters and occasionally chinchillas at the trust for re homing.
Rabbits are neutered before leaving the trust and are re homed in pairs, male and female, as they enjoy companionship. Occasionally they are re homed individually. Some single rabbits go to homes to give companionship to bereaved rabbits that have lost their partner.
Male guinea pigs are neutered before leaving the trust and are also re homed in pairs; however they co-habit with members of the same sex quite comfortably. We have a set cost for guinea pigs (depending on age).
Rats, mice and hamsters are also available and for these we ask a donation.
Before any animal is officially adopted an 'Accommodation for Small Animals Guideline' is issued and a home check is carried out. The trust works closely with the Rabbit Welfare Organisation to ensure that accommodation for small animals is up to standard at their new homes. We are always available to owners or potential owners for advice on accommodation, feeding and health care.
The trust also has a boarding service set up so animals can be cared for whilst the owners are on holiday causing the animals as little stress as possible.
